The i.Comp 8 / 9 is a powerful, small-sized and tremendously adaptable device that has an amazing new drive system. The polyethylene container hides an oil-free piston compressor, which is powered by a variable-speed drive motor that furnishes the exact amount of compressed air required. The i.Comp TOWER T variant comes with the compressor block, air receiver, air dryer and SIGMA CONTROL 2 controller all housed in one entire ready-to-use package, making it suitable for industrial, workshop and laboratory purposes.
Quiet and clean
It is possible to converse normally beside the i.Comp 8 / 9 reciprocating compressor due to its exceptional compressor and sound insulation PE enclosure, resulting in a maximum sound pressure level of 65.7 dB(A). Additionally, this compressor block has no oil and the i.Comp TOWER T versions provide a constant supply of dry compressed air with a pressure dew point of +3°C and the condensate is efficiently drained away.
Maximum energy efficiency
The i.Comp 8 / 9 is highly effective during all periods of use. A large reduction in switching operations lowers electricity consumption and takes the load off the compressed air lines. This small but powerful machine also has a substantially enhanced particular output in comparison to standard piston compressors.
Power and endurance
The i.Comp 8 / 9 stands out due to its limitless speed of switching. Even running at full capacity in temperatures up to +45°C is no challenge. An effective fan and improved airflow to the cooling system ensure that the compressor operates at an appropriate temperature while sensors monitor the motor temperature to stop it from getting too hot.
The all-in-one compressed air station
The KAESER i.Comp 8 / 9 TOWER T is a comprehensive product which combines a piston compressor, compressed air conditioning, refrigeration dryer, and optional filters in one reliable and compact system. The two air receivers with 40 litres capacity each are situated on top of the product, making it a perfect complete compressed air station. The i.Comp family is built on a new drive concept, providing many advantages. The frequency control can be adjusted infinitely to meet the required level of power for the compressed air, and the optimized flow paths and cylinder cooling ensures high efficiency. The reduced-size crank drive ensures quiet operation.
Compressor Block
To guarantee the required standards of quality, KAESER manufactures all its reciprocating compressor blocks internally. All components are manufactured with the utmost precision, utilizing top-tier materials, and then inspected and assembled with great caution. This results in a highly robust, oil-free compressor block that is capable of excellent performance and unparalleled energy efficiency. The optimised pathways and effective cylinder cooling guarantee minimal wear and tear and the highest possible effectiveness for prolonged service life. The combined inlet area of the cylinders helps minimise the intake of air, while the reduced-size crank drive promises smooth functioning.

The oil-free, one-stage reciprocating compressor is very efficient in all types of load phases. Its economical partial load mode contributes to further energy savings. Fewer switching operations decrease energy losses and reduce pressure in the compressed air lines. The i.Comp 8 / 9 uses a variable-speed drive motor to ensure that just the right amount of compressed air is produced, leading to a more efficient operation. Furthermore, the specific output of the i.Comp 8 / 9 is up to 18% lower than that of regular reciprocating compressors.
